I really wanted to like this book, especially since it was very anchored in the author's personal experiences. I just found the narrative to be very disconnected. It seemed more like a collection of things that happened.

I loved this book and the irony of the child being smarter than his physician father. This would be a great companion to To Kill a Mockingbird.
