I had some issues of this one but I still read almost all of it within two days basically. I felt like the plot was quite contrived at parts. The actions of both main characters kept pissing me off bc they simply felt so DUMB, like how Lottie didn’t even think that Radnor would go for her younger sister who was of a marrying age like think that one thru a little. In a lot of the sex scenes, I felt uncomfortable bc I felt like there was a lack of full, unequivocal consent by both parties, I get that she was trying to show that he was more into kinky shit which would NOT be accepted whatsoever at that time, but this was also written in the modern day after multiple feminist movements. Kleypas is such an enticing writer but I was disappointed in that aspect.

It was an exquisite novel. I just loved every word she had written. Her writing was fantastic and some of the scenes left me breathless. They're just so awesome and I loved it more than I ever thought I would.

I fell in love with Nick from the very first page. At first, I thought the prologue was irrelevant but further along the story I realised why it was necessary. I loved Gemma's character too though she played a rather short role.

Everyone of their meetings rendered me breathless. The most I loved was the morning walk and the may festival. And the Testing of kissing gate theory was mind-blowing. Their pair left me panting during every scene. It was just so wonderful.

When he said being a mistress was not good enough for her. I was on cloud nine. He was kind but didn't want to admit it instead he said he would get benefit from it. He just made me fall in love with him more.

Ohh, god. How could her parents be so cruel?? She tried to tell them he misbehaved instead of supporting they became angry at her for complaining. I hated them and then they tried to sell their second daughter even when she said she would take care of them. They were just disgusting.

Worth Any Price is the third book in the Bow Street Runners. The MMC is introduced in the book prior and other side characters from Bow Street are also in the first two books of the series. This takes place a couple of years after book two when Nick chose to become a runner instead of being tried as a rogue vigilante.

I enjoyed Nick’s transformation from book two to this one and as he continued to change throughout this one. Lottie was also likable as she was a strong heroine that took control of her life as best she could. Loved all the twists and turns and action that occurred. Also was introduced Earl of Westcliff that is the hero in book two of the Wallflowers series.

There are seven encounters with some involving restraints plus one encounter that occurred prior to MC meeting.

There is reference to sexual assault that occurred in both MC’s pasts as children.

I listened to this book via Libby.
