  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix

Some very awkward romantic scenes between the 14yo Jolly, Munk and Griffin. Some very dumb behaviour from certain characters. The writing overall seems more suitable for younger audiences, adults will probably appreciate the book if they a) don’t care about quality writing, b) read and liked the book as teens (nostalgia points), or c) are into anything pirates.

Bonus points for creative ideas, such as the sea-walkers, Aelenium city, seashell magic, ghost slaves (?) and, above all, the hexhermetic woodworm. He’s a blessing.
