Unfortunately, this book is my least favourite Frieda McFadden thriller. For me, it just didn’t deliver and I so wished it had. The idea of it being set on a psych ward, really intrigued me and had the promise of being quite a twisty thriller, where you couldn’t trust most of the characters due to where it was set.
Don’t get me wrong, it did have those elements but I just found the story quite lack luster which was a real shame. I didn’t warm to the main character and because of that, the final moment at the end of the book didn’t pack a punch as how it was intended.
I still love Freida’s writing style however as I can’t deny, this was a fast paced, easy read. I do still want to read through Freida’s back list as there have been some real gems on this journey so far. I especially want to read The Housemaid series which I think I will be reading soon hopefully.

Not even gonna lie, I feel like I just went on a wild Acid Trip that I’m never gonna recover from. WTH? Don’t get me wrong, it was fun, you should read it. But like……. I wasn’t expecting this.
I read this in a day. I read, took a nap, and then woke up and finished the book. It was fun. Entertaining the whole way through and I didn’t predict the ending.
The main lady doctor girl woman person (I don’t remember her name) is low key kinda…. Dumb. Like girl. You should definitely check out the charting on all of your patients.

My guess on who’s the “bad guy” literally changed every 5 seconds, this was rlly good! The characters are well written along with their disorders and there was a good buildup to the ending with her finding out the truth. The reason it’s not a 5 ⭐️ is because I’ve read better Freida McFadden books, and this was too similar to the Inmate (by her) imo.

the entire time reading this, i was just waiting and waiting and waiting for something to happen. when the plot twist unraveled, i was highkey so disappointed
