informative fast-paced

This was not a bad book, but I found the multiplicity of examples to be not as informative as the author seems to think they are. Mostly, I tuned out during those. I suppose the aim was to maximise the number of readers who would feel seen, but instead, it created a scattered feel. For more practical and informative knowledge, I recommend "The Freelance Bible" by Alison Grade.

One of the things I love about Chris Guillebeau's books is the sheer number of examples and real life stories he shares of so many entrepreneurs - and not just the names you hear about over and over again on the business book and podcast circuit. He has a knack for sharing the stories of ordinary, every day people who have figured out a way to do their thing on their terms and this book is no exception.
While I'm not sure I could get side hustle up and running in 30 days, after reading this I think I could come close! But that's not really the point. The point is he outlines the basic steps you need to take to get a side hustle up and running and earning income - in essence he's created the workflow to make it happen and documented it (Day 26). But even better, the book is full of very practical and workable tips and strategies with the constant reminder over and over again that you need to start and do - take action and get over getting it perfect.
This is one that I will leave on my Kindle to refer back to over and over again.

Great book for side hustlers, and for anyone wanting to go deeper into Chris’ advice given on his daily podcast “Side Hustle School.” Definitely will be recommending this to startup entrepreneurs.

I gave this book a read through first before writing things down. There were many tips and ideas and I can't wait to get into the book again and go through it over the next month.

Good advice for people looking to explore supplementary income. Examples from the book, which will make it clear who should read it, include: guitar teaching, pet boarding, car rental, sweater retail, resume templates, wedding photography, etc. The advice isn’t bad, if that’s the sort of business you’re contemplating.

In one sentence - It's a clear, step-by-step instruction on starting a side hustle with relatable stories of other side-hustlers around the world.
