Thought the book was about Christmas. Also, the amount of times they got Kenzie’s order wrong was ridiculous.

Quick cute listen.
Brothers best friend accidentally go on a date through an app and navigate their difficulties together during the holiday season.

Just didn’t catch me. Characters felt flat and the relationship was trope-y, and not in a good way. Also slightly put off by random attitudes shown by characters (MC calls her brothers fiancée a “beautiful black goddess, there’s no other way to describe her”—as a POC, yikes on instantly reducing people to tired tropes like that, even in the guise of being a compliment).

This is the first book I've read from the author and while it's not a perfect read, I did enjoy it enough to check out other books from the author. Overall, this is a fun read with a great female character whose love
for Christmas is the perfect antidote to a less than happy childhood. Admittedly, I wasn't a fan of Andrew at the beginning, but he unbent in the face of unrelenting good cheer emanating from Kenzie. A wonderful read to get you in the mood for Christmas.

Kenzie & Andrew
Their meet cute was anything but when Andrew seems pretty disgusted with Kenzie's attire on their blind date. They part ways on a bad note, but soon Andrew needs Kenzie's help planning his office Christmas party. She agrees with one condition ~ he has to do 3 Christmas activities with her, so she can try to sway him from his Grinch ways.
Although I spent over 30 years living in New York state I have never been to NYC during Christmastime, but I feel like it was depicted perfectly.

Once all the grump gets out of Andrew he turns out to be super duper sweet. Kenzie is just over the top always sweet, and a pushover at times. I love how he helped her stand up for herself. I can't say I was impressed with why Andrew hates the holiday, but that was quite a grand gesture he did that I wasn't expecting.

Overall, a delightful story that'll be sure to get you in the Christmas spirit.

Narration notes:
I did not listen to this one, but am just giving the info above for reference.

Such an adorable holiday read! I really love the grumpy x sunshine tropes especially for Christmas books.

Kenzie and Andrew meet on a dating app and on their first date their first impressions aren’t that great. To add to the mix Andrew knows Kenzie’s brother so there’s no chance there anyways. Along with this drama Kenzie LOVES Christmas but Andrew doesn’t.

But Andrew needs a favor from Kenzie and in return she’s making him attend fun Christmas dates to get him to enjoy the holiday.

I loved their banter and the little snippets of them doing things for each other that show how much they truly care, even though they don’t think they can be together. I may just be a Christmas fanatic myself but I just loved this story!

Warm up some hot chocolate, cue up the Christmas carols, and cuddle up with this adorable holiday read.

Like Kenzie, I’m the person that puts the Christmas tree up the day after Halloween, so I instantly connected to her character. She loves Christmas and the positive memories that come with it. Andrew, the resident Grinch, has very different feelings about the holiday due to the negative memories it brings up. Piper Rayne composed the perfect grumpy/sunshine relationship that readers will root for from the beginning (and especially during the spicy scenes). This was my first holiday read of the season and it definitely set my expectations very high for future reads!

Thank you Valentine PR for the ARC to review!
