Easily the best manga I have read recently. So mature, thoughtful, and nostalgic for itself. People are always remarking on the past. Reminds me of the early excitement of game of thrones. The mana cloaking took me by surprise and it is remarked on so casually.

What an intense volume! We see the end of what feels like the first real arc in this series (or at least prolonged story piece) and it did a lot. A lot of intense action, further understanding of Frieren's backstory, and growth for all of the characters. Something I really like about this series is how we get little glimpses into Frieren's backstory and her character is built out more and more through small moments. I'm excited to see where this story goes next and hoping for more prolonged story arcs as the one in this volume showcased great storytelling and action.
