Extremely happy to continue reading this series- I think spacing out the volumes makes them a bit more impactful. I loved that the first half of this volume contained more action than was seen in Volumes 1 and 2, and yet the second half resumed being introspective and melancholic.

The pacing in this volume felt a lot slower than the previous two, & I didn't really like the repeated "pervert" callouts; they didn't strike me as funny moments, just awkward. Besides that, I'm still in love with how deliciously OP Frieren is (I mean, she's worked for hundreds of years to get that way). I wished we had had more time with Kraft the Monk (whose ears & energy definitely gave me some Jak from the Jak & Daxter video game series vibes). But another cute, interesting hunk (Sein) showed up by the end, so I'm happy (so I guess I'm the "pervert"?).
