maaan.. this line gets me every time.
I thought this would be a page-turner. It's not, it takes some time. But that's ok cuz my God this manga is good. It looks like a debut manga to me, and maybe it is I don't really know. It lacks characterization, some dialogues are kinda weird (although this can be just bad translation). The art style isn't all that either, it's average, cute. Thematically tho... 10/10 story. The narrative goes between present and past, and helps us to see Frieren's growth, making me love this character more and more each volume.
I'm still in love with the concept, and Frieren's quest to find Heaven is just compelling as it is intriguing. Never though high fantasy could be this kind of cozy... almost like an iyashikei.
