I really really was so intrigued. And then, right at the end, I got bored of the tediousness. I wish it ended about 2-chapters sooner than it did. Or maybe I’m just not made out for mystery books. But I really did love the idea and concept.

What a great book! There are so many twists and turns which made it fun to try and play along. There are a lot of characters and moving parts, so it isn’t a book to read if you know you’ll have a lot of distractions. Set aside some time to settle in to Blackheath!

I want to preface this review by saying this book is absolutely brilliant, gripping and very clever. I do however think it's a little too clever for its own good. It's not too complex that you can't follow it, but for how many lines there are in this book, there's at least 100 pages too much. It's just a lot of information to consume, so much that if you don't read it quickly, you'll struggle to make sense of it. Nearly 600 pages for a thriller that needs to be inhaled when it's so multi-layered. The writing is so accomplished and the twists and explanations are difficult to predict. It's the perfect mystery with such a fun twist on the genre. I just struggled to get through it

First 300 pages had me confused and quite annoyed, it was too many characters and was written knowing they wanted you confused. Didn’t need to be so long. At about page 400 things start to click, and the murder reveal was clever, and then followed by the twist was good. It all seemed a little rushed but also too wordy at the end. Then to finish on such a bleh way, essentially and they wondered off into the sunset vibe, ruined it. It should have ended by telling us what the hell we’d just read and why.
