I didn't love this as much as the film sadly but that doesn't mean it is a horrible book. The concept of it was interesting however, the characters were underdeveloped and I didn't know them that well and I felt like this book was way to short.

This anthology has two short stories. They are designed for middle school readers. The first story is called Aquamarine. It is about a mermaid who is found in a dilapidated swimming pool by two young girls. The second is called Indigo. It is the story of two boys who have webbed feet and hands and are teased by peers. The town here has little interest in water. I loved the first story, but the second story was just mediocre.

Reading this in February because I'm dreaming of summer. It's a sweet story but pretty sparse. I watch the movie almost every summer, which I LOVE because it's cute and funny and who doesn't love Weezer's Island in the Sun?

I read this book because I liked the movie. In my opinion, this book was terrible. There is barley a story, no character development, do details or descriptions, and almost no dialogue. There's really nothing to say about it besides those things because there's nothing else to it.

Fluffy and cute. I dare you not to think of your summers as a kid. One of my favorite childhood books, for a reason. It holds up. Also, I wish I could write like Alice Hoffman.
