This was super short but fun. It is an easy skip though.

Once Upon A Winter’s Eve is 1.5 in the Spindle Cove series. A novella taking place over the course of one night. This was an entertaining and faced paced second chance romance. I didn’t read the blurb before diving into this one but enjoyed the unique storyline and characters. Yes, it’s a bit crazy what all was able to be accomplished in one night but it was adventurous and fun. The heroine does forgive rather quickly but also a bit more lenient since it’s a shorter story. There was one open door encounter.

I wanted another short HR Christmas story to listen to while working.. and this was exactly that. I wish it was longer, I wish we could see them be spies together darnit!
I am eager to start the Spindle Cove series now.

This is definitely the type of story that does not fit well in a novella. I needed way more than 150ish pages to forgive the MMC of this novel and the fact that the FMC forgave him over the course of one night did not sit well with me. This book also felt like it was missing the lighthearted humor that I have come to love in Tessa Dare books.
