This is definitely the type of story that does not fit well in a novella. I needed way more than 150ish pages to forgive the MMC of this novel and the fact that the FMC forgave him over the course of one night did not sit well with me. This book also felt like it was missing the lighthearted humor that I have come to love in Tessa Dare books.

Okay I actually really liked the heroine but the hero needed to do like 2000% more groveling for me. I just don’t think he earned his happy ending. I would have absolutely loved it if it was longer, but I also know writing novellas can be a fun challenge in character development and plot writing.
