Ok I did enjoy this in parts. The story is fun, the characters are well developed and theres a good mix of rom, com and emotional backstory.
Ultimately this ends up beingalient smut- so happy for you if you enjoy that but thats not it for me and I did not know this authots game beforehand

So…I was really tryna be optimistic. I thought the plot in the description was cute and interesting and would have totally been really good. But why was the book changing plots forty times! And I wish the world building was a little more developed because I had ZERO clue they were in fact not super heroes, but aliens!? And if only the characters had more character development except for becoming horny. Honestly an interesting concept but I don’t think it came across as I assumed..I always feel terrible for ratings like this but I feel like I need to touch grass after this book, sorry.

This was a fun and quirky romance read that is perfect for those that enjoy both Marvel movies and romance books. Stephens creates a world that combines the fantastical element of superheroes with a very real world necessity - pr firms. Vanessa and Roland are both such likeable characters and listening to this book with great narration from Dara Brown and Sean Bassett makes the characters richer in the best way. Roland quite literally the MMC that would “burn the world” for his FMC and his inner monologue was hilarious “I should just kidnap her.” Vanessa as a character felt very real and vulnerable to me. I appreciated the way that Stephens handled very sensitive issues around child neglect, anxiety, and much more in a way that brought great depth to the character of Vanessa while making it so easy to root for her as well. Not only are Vaness and Roland great characters, but the chemistry and tension between the characters is also impeccable. The ending felt a little rushed to me but I cannot wait to read more stories in this world with All Superheroes Need Photo Ops!
