That ending!!!
This series is so perfect. It’s twisted and dark, but still has moments of sweetness. I love the group dynamic. I hope Callum improves in book 3, I’m getting little tired of his dramatics.

Also another read where I feel kind of Eh.
I don’t happen to particularly love anyone in this harem. Perhaps we’ll get more insight into the characters in the next book but I’m already kind of bored with the storyline.
Tension in the harem isn’t sexy. Gabriel’s God complex is just a major turn off and I can’t understand why Summer just follows it blindly.
The bullets are the lost boys — Callum really doesn’t fit in at all to me and he’s the eldest as well.
It all just seems super messy and drawn out to me.

I stopped everything to read the second instalment of this series, I just couldn’t put it down.
A fantastic plot throughout and I’m in love with all the characters.
I was close to a breakdown while reading the epilogue though!
I’ll be on edge until the third book is finally released!

A great continuation to the series!
I love how this one just stared off from the ending of the last book. I wasn't sure how this book would start out after the ending of the last, but Nix's brief pov was a nice introduction for this part of the story. And I'm really intrigued by Nix, so even though it wasn't much and gave no real character insight to Nix, it was still nice.
I love how everyone came together even more and then certain events really tested their make shift family. Everything was written really well. I loved reading the guys pov from back in their teens, it really gave a lot of insight to their personalities, which made everything even better. I love how their bonds just continue to strengthen and grow.
As soon as I finished this book, I dove into the next book. The last two chapters of this book tore me apart and I was ready to throw my kindle at the wall. Then the very last part of the last chapter made my heart stop! I could not have waited to finish this series after that. If you've read the first book, you HAVE TO, you have to finish the series! If you haven't started it yet, please go read the first book! Its amazing promise!

3 Stars
Bk 1 and 2
I want to give this 4 stars but I’m trying to learn to be stingy with 4/5 star ratings this yr, bc I give them out too often. So that means this book is getting a lower rating than I would’ve given it if I’d read it last year.
So I usually go into reverse-harem(RH) books with the expectation of it being a goofy OTT fuckfest. Although this book was OTT, it wasn’t any more so than other dark romances. It had a more mature tone than most of the RH books I’ve read. This was entertaining, melodramatic and just somewhat camp (it’s a “dark-reverse-harem” situation, tell me that doesn’t sound just a little bit camp).
The dynamics between the guys were complicated, messy and weird. But I wasn’t mad at it. Their relationships made as much sense as they could in this kinda story.
The book was a bit eccentric but the stakes felt quite high and there was a plot but it was primarily character driven; specifically the relationships between these characters. Tbh I would’ve preferred a even more focus on the relationships than the action, bc the relationships were interesting and tbf, unique. It’s obvs not something you’d find in other books (reverse.-harem). The action and shootouts, I just didn’t care. Just a pretty basic.
And the writing wasn’t anything special.
The big reveal made me go yikes. It was grim. Ngl.

Summer and Smoke is book 2 in The Bullets Series and boy did it end on a doozy of a cliffhanger. Fortunately no wait. Love and Lead is out and will be on my Kindle within minutes after I finish this review. I got this book on Kindle Unlimited.
Wow what a story. Revenge is all that is thought of. Paul Bright, Summer’s father is not a nice guy. The Bullet’s made up of Gavriel, Blaise, Ryker. Callum was friends with Summer (now known as Sunshine). Callum became friends with The Bullet’s after Summer’s disappearance in Book 1.
I am loving this series and can’t wait to start reading the conclusion of this series.

I love this series so much. We've got interesting and high stakes actions, layers upon layers of character connections and backstories and secrets and unclear motivations, an incredibly well-rounded harem of men that I genuinely care about equally (like seriously, they are all awesome), and a kick-a herione that is both tough and vulnerable all at once.
This RH felt a bit atypical to me in a great way in that the RH wasn't a natural fit for a lot of them at first. Sunshine herself didn't understand her past feelings and perhaps felt connected romantically to one of them more than the others, the men all had complicated and at times conflicting relationships with each other, not all of them are always on equal footing in the relationship, and not all of them are equally comfortable- which feels far more interesting, realistic, and complex than other "super easy" RH configurations. The RH is as much relationally driven as situationally -even though all of them had feelings for Sunshine, it is the passage of time and dire situations that push them over the edge into the RH world. The path isn't easy, for each of them as characters and even more so for them as a group.
I also love how complex each character is- Coralee is a pro at creating characters who are rich in history, rich in emotion, and are nuanced and specific- each uniquely drawn. Everyone is flawed, but everyone is perfect for each other. While I definitely have a soft spot for Blaise, and Gavriel gets me the hottest, I like how each of them is created in such a way that there aren't favorites. Sure, there definitely is one who is a bit more in the drivers seat, but they each play their own roles, and I appreciate a RH where the characters are all complex enough to be interesting and magnetic- I love them all.
And i love Sunshine. I want to be here, I want to be her best friend. She's a wonderful heroine and center of this story.
Can't get enough of this series!
