I can’t stress enough how little I cared about these characters or their journey. This more than any other historical romance I’ve read is clearly written for the fans, with most of the story taken up by plot lines connected to side characters and old dramas, leaving the main romance on the back burner. The insta-love was strong in this one, and I never really understood why these two characters specifically were in love, beyond a plot device. All said and done, I’m still on the lookout for a mass-market historical romance to make me obsessed — the hunt continues!

What a delightful book! I had so much fun reading this, it was so heartwarming seeing characters from previous books and I hope the author writes more books where they’re present.

This was a cute re-read. I liked the characters and the relationships were nice.

This was cute. Not my favorite in the series.

3,5 stars because this was great but there was too much plot for me towards the end and it didn’t even resolve itself in a cool way. I really liked the main characters and didn’t think the insta-love was meh like I usually do.

This could have been a lot better for me if it was more about just Keir and Merritt and wasn’t also about trying to get characters from previous books in here just for fun. Which I know sounds kinda mean but I was expecting more of the main characters and definitely more to the ending of the plot.
