This was really engaging as an audiobook - the jingle that plays before each podcast episode does a great job of separating you from Lucy’s POV and putting you in the position of being just another one of Ben’s podcast listeners. 

There were definitely some times that Lucy’s character annoyed me and I didn’t agree with every decision she made, but overall she was an enjoyable and intriguing character that kept me wondering whether she actually did it. I’m not sure why the men of Plumpton are all so angry and entitled, on the other hand - yet treated like Jesus reborn. 

I was satisfied with the reveal which had many opportunities to be disappointing. 

Voice acting was phenomenal for how many characters/podcast guests there were. Each individual had a distinct voice and personality.

Grandma Beverly is the only character I was invested in. I found the mystery of the plot and the podcast concept interesting, but Lucy and her entourage of pretty terrible people were just “mid” as the kids would say. 

Regarding the audiobook specifically, I loved the podcast format with the music and “episodes,” but I wasn’t a fan of the female voice actor. If the podcast chapters weren’t a thing, I probably would have switched to a text copy of the book.

Very fun :) I think the mystery becomes pretty clear about midway through but it’s so uncertain you can’t feet like you’ve really “got it”. Very fun with a lot of twists I didn’t expect and I think the premise of the main suspect for a murder being unable to remember if she’s guilty or not was not one I’ve heard before :)

Overall I did not enjoy this book. I feel like it was incorrectly marketed as a thriller when it was mostly a romance with a little bit of mystery thrown in. I honestly didn't like any of the characters other than Lucy's grandmother since everyone else was pretty awful and a little messed up. The stakes felt incredibly low, the ending was rushed, and by the time I got there I didn't care too much. I like the idea of a book with a podcast style segment within it...I just wish it was written into a better story
