This book had such a wonderful message. It encouraged relationship and emphasized independence. Instead of mom stepping in to fix the problems or solve the challenges encountered by her son, she kept a very steady presence and supported him as he worked through matters. She demonstrated love in both the physical and in the emotional/mental sense.

Because Your Mommy Loves You would be a superb book for all to read. There is a lesson for parents just as much as a lesson for children.

I secured a copy of this title from my local library.

Sweet simple story with such an important message about teaching children self-reliance. The fact that the mom and son go camping and pick blueberries for pancakes - things our family just did -- made it even better.

I liked this way more than I thought I would. Instead of being all smooshy-sweet, it's about a mom and her son going camping. Instead of Mom solving every problem and doing everything for the kid, she coaches, encourages, assists, and lets the kid do things for himself. Nice.

A tad repetitive, but a great reminder to parents to let children to problem solve and become self reliant.

Simple story about mother and son and how love means letting us do stuff on our own, more of a book for adults than a book for children.
