I received Along Came Holly as an ARC (thanks Netgalley!), which prompted me to read the entire Mistletoe Romance series. This installment follows the youngest Winter sister, Holly, as she finds romance in the small town of Christmas cheer, Mistletoe. The big trope in this book is grumpy/sunshine. Just like the other two books, this one is your typical Hallmark holiday romance movie in book form.

I enjoyed seeing all of the characters come together and getting small updates on each of them since the last book.

I found the main characters, Holly and Declan, to be quite annoying. However - they DID do a decent job of actually communicating with each other, which doesn’t typically happen in books like this.

highlights:
  • enemies to lovers
  • grumpy/sunshine
  • cute cat
  • holiday romance

Thank you NetGalley, Codi Hall, and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this e-ARC in exchange for my honest opinion and review.

This series was really good but this book wasn't as good as the first two. While I enjoyed getting a glimpse into Merry & Clark again, I didn't at all care for all the bachelor/Bachelorette party drama, nor did I care for Holly's neighbors drama. Tbh I would have rather had this time filled with more of the Winters parents, especially since they had been such a main point in the past two books. I listened to the audio & also did not at all care for how side characters sounded so completely different. I think with a series like this, the side characters should have had their own voices or maybe just use the same person from the first book. Anthony & Pike were like whole new characters. Other than that, another cute read!
