I'm not exactly sure what the issue was here, but I was just really not into it and I got bored very easily while listening to this one.

This book is good, but would be better if it was 60-100 pages shorter. Overall, the plot points were really good, but I wanted more pranks and less will-they-or-won’t-they that made up the entire middle of the book. They beginning was really hard to follow because it introduced so many characters at once and I didn’t realize it was the third book in a series. That being stated, I don’t think I’ll go back and read the first two books. There is just a little too much cheesiness, the end wrapped up really quickly, and even though the characters had chemistry, there was minor miscommunication going on for 100ish pages! There was also one scene where it quickly mentions Holly once hooked up with a female bartender and the way it was randomly thrown in made it feel forced and just added for LGTB+ purposes since no other characters had any diversity. Overall, it’s a fine, cliche Christmas rom-com (that also basically skipped all of Christmas Eve and Christmas). 3.25⭐️, 2🌶

OVER-THE-TOP Christmas RomCom that I read out of order of the series. The author just embraced the over-the-top Hallmark-ness of it all and if you can enjoy a world that revolves about Christmastime then this is a great one. Decently steamy a few times over.

Holly is the owner of a holiday shop and gets involved in a prank war with her scrooge of a store neighbor, Declan. But in the midst of this prank war, Holly realizes she actually needs Declan’s help to set up her holiday lights display. He agrees to help, even though he hates the holidays, but the two face one mishap after another along the way. These challenges force them to come together and make Declan see Holly and the holidays in a different light.

The Mistletoe series has brought me all the holiday joy over the past few years and I was so excited to get Holly’s story. While this one didn’t capture my attention as much as the first two, it was still super cute and a fun read! This story had the steam, the wit, and the holiday sparkle I have come to love from this series and Declan was the perfect Grinch to Holly’s jolly. It was fun to see their relationship progress and even more fun to see glimpses of the relationships and characters from the first two books.

Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for the advance copy.

Found out I’m not always a fan of enemy’s to lovers. It was an easy read to start off the new year and come off the holiday season high though

I adore this series. It makes you want to live in Mistletoe. This grumpy/sunshine really grown on you. How can anyone be a scrooge when they are with Holly.
This series is great not just for Christmas season. I love Christmas stories year round.
