imo- it really wasnt my cup of tea. i dont like fake dating tropes typically and for this one- it didnt make sense considering everyone knew they were “fake dating”

i finished the book so i gave it 2 stars and it had some RLY good parts but overall, bex was just a insecure little girl who never thought her worthy of anything and james couldn’t separate his personal life and his professional life. darrel can actually go play in traffic. i loved james’ brothers and his family (although the book painting his dad as a “villain” was a lilll far fetched imo). so yeah

Cute but the writing wasn't great and some plot points or character traits felt unnecessary.

Overall, I liked this one! I felt like the characters had a good amount of depth, it felt realistic, and I was rooting for the characters. It was a little too spicy for me, but I was mostly able to skip those scenes.
I also wasn’t the biggest fan with the way the ending was handled. I didn’t love how his parents were telling him to choose his career and didn’t really seem to consider Bex. I also felt like it was addressed way too quickly and conveniently.
Will I read the rest of the series? Maybe.

Too cringy. The pet names were too much and the way he talked to her like a little girl was gross.
