I've decided my two-star rating was too severe. It was just boring, not awful.

Overall I really liked this book. There were times when I found it to be a difficult read, maybe there was too much to explain in a short amount of pages, but sometimes I felt it was too complex of a read. There were other parts I really enjoyed though.

I'm planning to read his other book, the Audacity of Hope, which I believe will be more interesting overall to me.

Whoa, check it. Best book by a president basically ever. Sure, it might be a little unsettling for some of us that part of it is about finding redemption through Christian faith but it has so much HOT self-awareness/criticism and JUICY community organizing you won't even care. Everyone will love it, in a way that might be creepy. Schoolchildren will read it forever, and most of them will love it.
