I wish I could also give the illustrator (Harald Wiberg) a 5 star rating. Beautiful words. Beautiful art.

Owen Jordan's narration makes Astrid Lindgren's charming stories about trolls and holidays feel like an extra cozy sweater.

Cute little story about a troll that takes care of the animals on a farm while the people never see him only his footsteps. Pretty drawings in this book and the story is easy and good.

It's a sweet story, simple with beautiful artwork. I feel like it probably resonates as magical and Christmas-y more for anyone who grew up with stories of Tomten, but it's still a nice short fantasy children's book regardless.
I actually bought and read a bunch of Swedish kids' books a few months ago, and this was just one of them, but I'm trying to remember the names of them all to add them into Goodreads now. I remember reading this as a small child, but my memory of it is vague. I'm wondering if I read it as some relative's house.
