Margaret fought in the 1916 Easter Uprising. She was either a freedom fighter or a terrorist depending on your political viewpoint. I'm English myself, so I recognise that I'm not unbiased in this, but I found the implacable hatred of all English people to be dehumanising. In this telling, she just doesn't seem to care what level of casualties either side incurred or could have incurred to achieve her political aims - genuinely scary and borderline evil.
