I really liked this book. I will definitely be getting more of this series. I listened to it as an audiobook and with the french accent it helped alot. Love all the characters.

Second listen in a year. Loved it again!

I quit the book. the combination of first-person/present tense and the Vegan proselytizing finally gave the book a death knell.

I listened to this book on audible. I got it as it was included in my membership and I could listen to it for free, I’m not usually into these kind of stories however I quite enjoyed this one.

At times it could be a little bit cheesy but overall was quite Interesting and unusual. It reminded me a bit about murder she wrote all that kind of story line. The idea of that type of detective story is actually touched upon in the book itself by mentioning Poirot and Agatha Christie type stories. At times I found it comical, as well as a bit original in the way that it approached this type of storyline. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started it but I will listen to the rest of the series. I quite like all of the French recipes that list as well and I’m curious to look into some of them.

An enjoyable read, though the repeated emphasis on how healthy Zoe's diet was did feel a bit heavy-handed to me (also a vegan).

How do you know if someone is vegan?
Don't worry they'll tell you. 
That was this whole book. 
People were killed but oh no I better stop to make a life-affirming smoothie. 
Also, girl, no one is going to think your not-real-chocolate cake is better than the real thing. 
Dorian was the only worthwhile character but Miss Super Vegan struggled to translate the magic pages that could save him because she couldn't stay awake once the sun went down because she was Vegan and magically connected to the earth???
