I like this book, the stories are short but spine-chilling. The writing style and vocabulary used are amazing.
Some of my favorite stories are:
>Blanca and the Departure
>Rose and Fire
>Alicia, at dawn
>Kiss
> Two-minute apocalypse

The book is worth reading if you haven't read any book by the author and you wanna know his writing style. Especially if you like mysterious kind of horror that is not creepy but still gives you goosebumps. these short stories are perfect for it.

A lot of intense short stories. Very well written but I really need periods relief and resolution found in novels.

Zafón was a marvelous storyteller and I don’t think I will get to love any new author as much as I loved him.
Grateful for having back once again that tormented man of David Martin -who came and left with more unanswered questions- and really enjoyed the rest of the stories.
You’ll be missed Don Carlos.

I did not really like the first two stories, they were okay, but I do not really feel like giving this a chance right now, especially given how much I did not like the shadow of the wind. However, I might come back and read some more of the stories in here in the future.

I wish the author hadn’t died - the language and stories he told are a delight. A final savouring.
