I'm not sure what this book accomplished. The general storyline of Strike and Robin's relationship did not move forward a bit. The specific plot line relating to Anomie was bludgeoned nearly to death with too many suspects, too many chat rooms and near utter confusion. By the end, I just didn't care anymore. Which is sad, because I am a major fan of this series. Things need to be better edited, tighter, crisper and just plain better next time.

Прекрасний детектив. Мені сподобалось скільки тем піднімає Гелбрейт в цій книзі: тут і кібербулінг, і політика, і нехтування дітьми, і пошук своїх, і таки наважиться Страйк і Робін перейти від закоханності та дружби до чогось більшого?
Сподіваюсь, що до наступної книги Корморан таки сяде на дієту та буде слідкувати за своєю ногою, бо не проходить книги, аби він не скаржився на болі в ній.
Детективний сюжет цікавий. Мені подобається наскільки різноманітні справи у детективного агентства Корморана Страйка і Робін Еллакот. Також цікаво було спостерігати за розвитком відносин партнерів детективів, як вони переконували себе і ховались. Зовсім не смішно, а дуже навіть сумно було спостерігати за самообманом і простими рішеннями Корморана, як він намагався захистити своє серце від Робін і тим самим влип в інші стосунки та втратив шанс на Робін. Хто знає як на довго, але... Наступна книга вже мене чекає
