Been putting this off because of the page count, but it was another solid mystery for Cormoran Strike. There were so many moving parts to this one which made for great plot twists.I was very invested in the story and read it very quickly.

But all of that to say, I still think this could have been edited down significantly.

I need less...
- Inner dialogue from Strike and Robin about how they feel about each other. We get it.
- Lengthy descriptions of Strike's leg pain. I know it's crucial for the detective to have a weakness, but it's been six books worth and I feel weighed down. Though I am glad there seems to be a new path forward for this particular plot point.
- Tweets, moderator chats, interview transcripts. Some of these things can be summarized. It's just soooo much detail that it becomes way too much work for me to try to figure things out on my own. I don't feel like keeping up with all of it, which takes some of the fun out of it.

A page turner, but perhaps a couple of hundred pages too long. Guessing all the way to the end, I'm not sure I could ever work out whodunnit until the reveal.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed listening to this this series, JK Rowling is obviously a wonderful writer and the reader for the audiobook is very good. However, this was my least favorite in the Strike series. In my opinion, it was super long, convoluted, and anti-climatic.

Whilst the Strikes novels are getting increasingly longer, this book made me NEEDING to read the next one, I have found the relationship with Strike and Robin very tedious as it's so dragged out and I feel like JK Rowling/Robert Galbraith know exactly what the readers want and just trying to drag it out for as long as possible. Still absolutely loved this book but never wanted a fictional couple to get together so badly.
