3.5 stars. Sweet tale of a young boy learning to find God through the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. He observes the world around him and begins to see God in the good works of others. I appreciate that this book shows that good works can be found in many places other than religious settings, and done by people who are not Christian. Maybe God Is Like That Too encourages empathy and kindness rather than hate and self-righteousness.

A great, kid-friendly tale about where to find the Spirit of God in every day life. Nice illustrations too. It's not always easy to find books for kids that fit a more progressive view of God, but this fits the bill nicely.

Such a lovely way to translate the fruits of the Spirit into words and pictures that children can understand. Wonderful book to use for a children’s moment in a worship service.

A book about finding the spirit of God in the actions of people all around you.

This is a very sweet book, but I can't help but feel like it is one of those books written more for the parents of children than for the children themselves.
