Hard for me to read
This story about a stalker was difficult for me to read as I sympathize with victims and don't understand the mindset of a crazy stalker or someone who gets his kicks out of torturing another human being. But the budding romance between Ione Loane and the Air Force Special Tactics veteran Lot Alvarez keep me reading to find out how things would turn out for them. Lot, as co-owner of AMB Security, had a dual vested interest in making sure that the sexy yogi stayed safe. The author obviously took a lot of time in researching the mindset of a crazy stalker. I not only learned about how they tick but also little self-defense tactics for women. We even read a little about some Texas history to boot. What the author did not cover was why Andre Carroll aka Andreas Correia was so obsessed with humiliating women. Was it the fact that women used their instincts and turned him down or was it something else entirely different?
It was good reading a story that was set in Texas which is close to where I live and have traveled to plenty of times. It gets old reading of stories set in New York or California. This was a refreshing read. I enjoyed reading about Ione's sweet parents. Her best friend Rosland was a character and so was Lot's friend Kareem. I was glad to read that Ione and Lot di get their HEA, despite Andre's crazy actions.
