This is my second time reading this book, but my first time reading it since having children. Reading it with my seven-year-old definitely changed my experience of it. Hearing him giggle at some of the humor and antics that I had found "annoying" the first time through recast them as charming. And the sentimental ending had me struggling not to break down and cry on the last page, although my son found the ending very anti-climactic and needed me to explain that it was about Christopher Robin growing up and eventually leaving his stuffies behind. So there are definitely parts of this book that seem written for kids (all the humor that annoyed me) and definitely parts that seem written for the adults reading to the kids (the wordplay, the nostalgia).
