An excellent overview of the females of the greek pantheon and a good introduction to the magic of Ancient Greece. However if you know the basics and have already read a bit on the myths this book will not satisfy your thirst, a pity indeed as Natalie Haynes writes with an easy and preciseness of someone who is deeply knowledgeable.
I would recommend it to all the young readers.

Had to subtract 0.5 stars because of the many tangents Haynes went on in each chapter. While interesting, I sometimes felt like they were only there to fill up the pages. Aside from that I enjoyed her sense of humour (as always) and the well-researched insight into Greek Mythology.

I enjoyed what I read but I was just not in the mood for this at this present time. May return to it later.

I gotta stop reading books about greek mythology. I’m trying to force it and I can never get into them- any genre- romance, nonfiction, whatever. Just can’t do it. Bummer

Really made Greek mythology enjoyable by sharing unique perspectives on the goddesses!
