Riveting, dark, and a little depraved. I might need therapy and I will never look at dry ice the same way. Even with the darker elements this had great characters and action. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Well played.

What?! Okay, author! I see you!

This author will make you hate a villain more than you ever hated one and then make you end up feeling bad for him and falling in love with him.
Like, what did I just read? I skipped my daily nap to read this book and I cannot wait to read the next one after I post this review. This is not your typical mafia story that you read over and over again that some authors write about. This series is different. It keeps you wondering and reading. I freaking love it!

UPDATED REVIEW!!! I am going to stand by everything I wrote before in this review. However, this author took this book and added so much more to this story. The new twist and turns that are added are just as twisted as 1 would expect from Ember. Please if you have already read this book please take the time to do a re-read so you can see just what I am talking about. If you haven't read it yet why the hell not? Trust me you are gonna want to hace Bennett in your life.

YOU MUST READ RULES OF BENNETT FIRST!!!
OMFG!!!! This book will leave you wanting so much... It is like she is dangling a carrot in front of you and just when you think you are going to get it in your grasp BAM she yanks it away. Ember has woven such a delicious dark and twisted tale, one that will leave you guessing from page to page. Just when you think you know what is going to happen she throws a curveball and BAM everything you think you might know you don't. The dangerous game that begins in this book is one of manipulation and essential for survival. Question is just who will survive when everything is said and done?
I am trying to gather my thoughts to type up my review. There is so much that happens within these pages that threw me for a loop, and I'm pretty sure will leave you with your mouths hanging open. I could spoil it for you and tell you all the delicious and dark things that take place in this book, but I don't think so.
As we learn in Rules Of Bennett Aurora is a tenacious young lady who has to learn to follow the rules. If not well lets just say the punishments for being disobedient are very severe.. Bennett is a man who is not afraid to take what he wants. He does not take kindly to being disobeyed by anyone. As you will learn in the pages of this book not everyone or everything is as it seems. I'm gonna end my review on that note...….

Duuudddeee!!! OH MY GAH!!! This book is one hell of a sick, fucking twisted of a ride! I don't think I was breathing at all from the suspense of this remarkable book. I just can't. Argh!!!

This book is a dark read, romantic suspense and has some triggering themes that you need to be forewarned with if that is not something you will want to read. If this is your jam, then hold on tight because it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

After having the best night of her life, Aurora's past swooped down and took everything from her in the form of Bennett Moreno. Bennett, the mafia prince, the son of the most feared Mafia organization that her father was once part of. She thought when her parents sent her far away from them, that she already escaped that threat behind her. She was dead wrong.

Bennett, Bennett, Bennett, how do I hate thee? Let me count the ways. OMG! This guy. This. Fucking. Guy. This fucked up, devious man. I am floored by his behavior towards Aurora. Poor girl. I have an insane urge to jump into this book world, smack Bennett silly and protect Aurora from him. I'm telling you, the hate game is so strong in this one.

And then, the author showed us a bit of backstory of how Bennett came to be with his deplorable ways. Color me confused ladies. Actually, scratch that. I wanted to give him a hug after knowing the biggest betrayal of all. That he was much of a victim and insignificant like the girls their organization trafficked. I am now rooting for these two to get together to take down Bennett's assholish father, Wilson. After a thrilling ending, I can't stress enough that I can't wait to read the next book, You Will Break. Need it ASAP!

Wow. There is so much to say about this one. I did have a rough time getting through this one. There are some moments in this one that got to me. Call them flashbacks I guess you could say. Bennett does not take it easy on Aurora at all. But then again she had three simple rules to follow and instead of following them she has to push back. She does not make things easy on herself. But things change for both of them when a business meeting turns ugly. Bennett lets down some walls and she learns that there is something inside him besides the devil himself. This was a very intense mind blowing interesting storyline. Does leave you hanging at the end? I have to know what is going to happen with these two. There are a couple of upsetting moments in this one but that does make the storyline even better. Ember did an amazing job keeping you on the edge of your seat with this one. Cant wait to read more.

The MMC is irredeemable in my eyes at this point.

This book is so so dark,we warned when you click on it.Its full of abuse both physically and mentally, human traffic, murder and entitled shit-holes thinking women are all but property. It is a MAFIA book after all. That being said ,you with be disgusted but you can't really put the book down.I honestly don't know what is wrong with me .
I hoping it ends well but I keep going down the rabbit hole. And just when I think it can't possible get worse ,it does.

I'm torn about this book. I like the premises, but maybe not the execution?

I have absolutly NO idea how the author is gonna redeem the MMC, because Bennett is probably the most evil MMC I have ever read about.

The prequel and the first half of the book is extremely fucked up. I almost had to DNF, but I stuck around. The last half of the book was disappointing tho 🤷🏼‍♀️

The plot is too obscure. How/why is nobody looking for the "big makeup mogul" who disappeared the day after making a million dollar in surplus after she launched her makeup brand? Her fiancé was killed and then her bestie were kidnapped and you're telling me NOBODY is looking for them? She "signed" her company over to MMC... isn't this a major papir trail?

The opening of the door in the jet mid flight; is this even physically possible?

There are also many grammar and spelling errors in this book. The author needs a better editor AND better alpha/beta-team. Some actions the MCs are doing makes no sense. I feel the author probably should read up on... crime and crime solving?

I'm giving this book 3⭐️ because I absolutly LOVED how fucked up the first half was. The dry ice was a nice touch IYKYK.
