Ik had verwacht dat dit boek meer in zou gaan op de filosofische en culturele kant van het concept ‘vrouw’. Echter, het was eerder een historische uiteenzetting van de rol van de traditionele vrouw en hoe deze veranderde. Ik ben blij dat ik het heb gelezen, aangezien het een toonaangevend boek is geweest in hoe we over dit construct nadenken. Maar ik had er andere verwachtingen bij.
