I definitely loved Caraval more than this one, but it was still really good and fast paced which I loved. I just feel like there was a lot going on, and it was way more predictable than Caraval.

Omg my copy of the book purchased last month at B&N is missing pages 403-435, some of the most important ones of the book! Thankfully I was able to find a synopsis online. Great book, but this one didn’t capture my interest like Caraval and OUABH did.

I fucking knew it, I fucking knew it.

Since the first book, I had this feeling that Dante was Legend. It did help that I was kinda spoiled by discovering he was gonna end up with Tella, so all the tension that they had was an indication! Plus, I really had this feeling that he was Julian's brother and once Julian talked about him, I knew it had to be him!

This book was full of plot twists, some of them I had already discovered beforehand, but I do have to admit that I was going crazy with theories trying to figure out what was happening!

I had this feeling that their mother had something to do with the fates! Also, I thought the deck of cards was actually the fates since the beginning! It made sense, even though we know this now, there are still a lot more questions to be answered!

Jacks!!!!!! He’s a bitch, but I love him and I do think that there’s more to him than just this villain. He kinda reminds me of Aaron from Shatter Me! But he was my biggest surprise in the book! I knew him from Once Upon a Broken Heart, but I didn’t expect him to be such an important character here!

And then we have Legend being the heir, which was something I suspected the moment they said the heir appeared!! I fucking knew it and still I got shocked to my core!!!

I did come to this book with a little displeasure for Tella! She pissed me off a bit in the first book! So I thought I wouldn’t like her here! And I think one of the flaws of this trilogy so far is the main characters; they seem too reckless and dumb sometimes or not reckless enough! Their decisions sometimes don’t make sense! I felt that with Scarlett in the first book and thought I would be too pissed with Tella's recklessness in this one, but actually, she surprised me a lot and I did really enjoy her! Excluding some parts where she lied to her sister! I really enjoyed her because she was reckless and did what she wanted. With Scarlett in the first book, sometimes it got boring or nerve-wracking watching her make decisions!! Although she did lie to Scarlett a lot, surprisingly Tella is my favorite of the two!

When it comes to the rest, I’m really curious to know what’s going to happen next, because we do have a lot of questions open and in need of an answer!!
