I actually don’t think I’ve ever read anything quite like this before. I genuinely loved the book but I needed more, just a little more detail on the happenings within the community in particular. It felt very short and just lacking. This could have been easily like 300 pages with added description and more than a 5 star rating from me.

i wish this book was longer! i love jonas <3 

this book will always make me reflect on how it is a gift to be able to feel love and happiness and how as humans we are lucky to have so much diversity to celebrate.

Such a complicated, moving, somewhat disturbing book. I say disturbing in a good way. It’s the type of book you read in 2 hours then think about it for a very long time afterwards. Very good and complex.

This is just a really powerful and beautifully written story. 

It’s a hard book to read, but it is—quite possibly—one of the most important.
