You think you know what you’re getting when you pick up a dark romance (and this book is all those things) but it’s so much more! When I say I took an actual pregnancy test because I did not believe a book could have me feeling this depth of emotion, I am literally not kidding.

Too repetitive, characters are one-note: obsessed with each other.

My god this was just crazy left and right. The MMC is CRAZYYYYY. It’s hard ti believe if this was real life you wouldn’f run away screaming from Roman. I mean she hasn’t seen you in nearly 3 years and the first thing you do is jerk off with her underwear😭? Honestly if you were in the book you would be all over Roman but in real life RUN AWAY

*NO SPOILERS*
This book captured my attention from the very first page! I love a good smutty dark romance, and this is one of the best and beautifully written ones I’ve had the pleasure of reading. Somehow I ended up tearing up, laughing, and covering my mouth in shock all within the first chapter and as the book continued. I love the backstory for the characters and how the time periods flash back and forth; this really helps you get a sense of why the MCs have the bond they do. Essentially, you’re shown rather than being told! And don’t even get me started on the spicy scenes. I’m definitely going to be reading more from this author!

I'm obsessed. Is Roman an absolutely unhinged, red flag? Absolutely. Would it be scary as fuck in real life? You bet. But in this book, it works. He would do anything to keep his girl safe and happy. The ultimate touch her and die or wish you were trope runs rampant in this book. I loved the humor and jokes. It genuinely made me laugh out loud multiple times. Looking forward to reading more from Avina. Make sure you read your trigger warnings. Mental health is important.
