Having the first entire 50% of the book as back story is honestly wild, in my opinion. While at the start I felt like it had great potential to be a 4 or 5 star it quickly just gave me this ick at times. Roman Riviera gave me golden retriever vibes, and I just don't see how that is supposed to make him dark enough for a dark romance. I felt that every disagreement was summed up far too quickly, and maybe that's because of how much back story we got. It did end up feeling like a chore to push through, but I have read far worse.

Este libro es bueno, aunque tiene una trama algo enrevesada y en ocasiones cuesta un poco ubicarse. A pesar de eso, cumple con su propósito. La relación entre los protagonistas es complicada, y, aunque entiendo que todo suceda rápido, me habría gustado un poco más de diálogo entre ellos al principio. La forma en que él se "encarga" de toda la familia es, sinceramente, top (y no acepto críticas), aunque reconozco que puede resultar un poco abrumadora.
Por otro lado, aunque sentí que todo avanzaba un poco apresurado y a veces el trasfondo emocional no se profundizaba tanto, las cartas son lo que realmente te llegan al corazón. Mientras las leía, necesité cambiar la funda de la almohada por lo mucho que lloré. Esas cartas son, de verdad, lo que hacen que este libro merezca la pena. Te metes tanto en los pies de los personajes que quema la idea de que esas cartas nunca fueron recibidas hasta ese momento. Y la forma en la que él las lleva a todas partes, aunque dolorosa, es tierna como pocas.

i would give it 3.5 but it’s not enough for 4. it was a little too stalkerish and possessive for me. some parts i really really loved then i would be like mmm this is weird.
