This is the second time I cry over a dark romance book, the letters made me an emotional wreck. Roman Riviera is one of my new favourite book boyfriends! I couldn't stop kicking my feet and giggling every time he spoke
When I say that this book had me screaming and crying I mean that literally. I had my hands pressed against my eyes and had to walk away from the book quite a few times. I was consistently worried about the characters with every twist and turn this book took. Thank you for another great read Avina!
This book left me wanting more. I loved being able yo see their past as the present was happening. Seeing both overcome issues they’ve had because they had each other. And Bella learning she’s capable without Roman. I still wish there was more with their story after… 🐭

UGH, why was the ending to this kind of cry worthy? I love a good friends to lovers. The soul deep kind of love usually can only be found within this troupe. And my god, did I find it. This had the PERFECT ratio of wholesome, dark romance, soulmates, protectiveness, and realism that I 've ever seen in a romance book. Like this kind of dark romance is the kind that you could genuinely expect if it was realistic and set up in our actual world. Had a wonderful, oddly gut-wrenching time reading this.

Say hello to my favorite trope… childhood friends to lovers to the extreme because they are obsessed with each other. But like he is… OBSESSED. Every waking thought and action revolves around his girl.
Honestly, this was dark and toxic as hell… but I ATE IT UP and loved every bit of it. There was the perfect amount of sweet and humor to balance out all the darkness. They were simultaneous the worst thing for each other and yet the only thing that made life worth living.
This story made me feel sad, hopeful, happy and it made my heart hurt in the best and worst ways. For whatever reason, reading stories about two people who are totally and utterly consumed with one another are my favorite. Those red flags are looking mighty green from who're I stand!
