So the book started okay and I liked the flashbacks moments those were really sweet. I also really liked Roman's whole character and how obsessive and protective he is over Bella. Their relationship in the flashbacks and how they bonded with little moments were really cute and I enjoyed certain moments like Roman braiding her hair and carrying her inhaler for her. But I just had so many issues with this book that ruined it for me. For starters Roman deserves so much better than Bella. She was so annoying and boring to me and felt so unimportant even tho she was the main character. She was also so whiny like all she did was complain. I wish she was more matching his energy like my fav dark romances like Butcher and Blackbird + Mindf*ck the FMC is just as unhinged as the MMC which I prefer wayyyyy more. Like if Bella was as obsessed and as caring with Roman as he was with her it would have made the book way better. There is also no plot going on like after the flashbacks there is literally no plot and anything that is going on is all over the place like it feels like the plot was being made as the book was written. This book has been taking me forever to get through and it's not even that long and I feel like I am forcing myself to read this. To be honest I just don't care about the story and I don't care to see how it ends and I really don't wanna force myself to read the last 30% I would rather spend my time reading something else. Roman carried this book but not enough to make up for the lack of plot and annoying female lead. Also we get like no side characters is literally just them two.
