i was going to rate this book a 4 but after she read the letters i instantly knew this book was incredible. the childhood flashbacks were beautiful he did everything for her. i wish she wouldve asked him if he was a virgin or how be knew what to do and he couldve been like my books baby or smth yk but other than that i loved every bit of this book. his whole life he did everything for her and when he went to prison and she tried to cope as much as she could while he was trying his hardest to let her know how much he still loves her god i just love the letters trope it always gets me. i need a roman riviera in my life. this girl doesnt know how lucky she is
Idgi. I thought her dad was going to be apart of the vargas’ or something. I feel like there was no point to anything. Jeremy was irrelevant, yet mentioned a trillion times. Isabella was so incredibly weak and yeah, I think I would bully her too tbh. I feel bad rating this low but any point of a plot was abandoned.
ETA: I looked at the authors tik tok and I think she based Bella off of herself…

Roman is truly so delusional and I love him for that

This is the most Disney adult shit I have ever come across in my entire life. Practically painful to read at points! The author is abhorrent at writing - she seemingly just pushes two random sentence fragments together without ANY care for even a smidgeon of coherence. Every character in this book was horrendous (Rico, however, had some potential imo, if he was portrayed more teasing and less predatory) but the FMC is the dumbest bitch I have EVER had the displeasure of reading about. She is so unbelievably stupid and self absorbed, it's insane! Moreover, the relationship the book is about is VERY pedo-ey imo. The MMC constantly dresses the FMC like she's an incompetent toddler, and put her (a 20 year old grown woman) in pigtails and ribbons every 5 pages!!
Very painful read, wouldn't even give this to the ass in my class to read.

Dark romance is the best! The obsession Roman has for Isabella is intense and perfect and everything. These two have had crappy lives growing up in foster care together. Roman has always looked out for her. This was a good book and really Roman is what makes this book so enticing. I would have given it 5 stars if Isabella’s character was a little better. She was kind of annoying and so naive and I get that her life wasn’t the best, but even at 20 she still acted like a bratty little girl. Overall, it was a good book and I would read more from this author for sure.
