This book was so deliciously toxic in the best kind of way. Roman had so many red flags, but they were all for Bella so I guess that makes them green. Every bad thing he has done since meeting Bella when he was 8 and she was 6 has been for her. The day after her 17th birthday, he disappears and he doesn’t show back up for 3 more years and he’s covered in the blood of her foster father and brother. Roman and Bella go through some things, but having someone who is willing to burn the earth in order to protect their love is really all anyone wants right?

JF and Vivienne did incredible in this narration. There was so much raw emotion in this book and they both executed it so well.

I absolutely loved this one

2 stars and they’re only for roman.. he quite literally carried the whole book. bella was too whiny and insecure to enjoy. rico was also a treat, but that’s about it.

Im surprised I finished it tbh

I ate this one up!  It's for the dark romance girlies who like a obsessive and slightly unhinged MMC.  The duet narration was amazing, and the narration pairing was spot on.  I got hooked from the begining because she walks in and is like 'hi, I unalived your foster family so can we have a second chance?"  Insta-hooked and insta-in-love.  The ending was as thrill seeking as the first half, but by then I was so in love Mickey that I was head over heals obsessed.

This was fine… it started off interesting but then started to fall apart. The flashbacks at the beginning were cute but they started to wear on me and I wanted to get back to the current timeline.
Roman was enjoyable part of the time, incredibly dumb the rest.
Bella was so annoying, crying and constant pity parties. I just wanted reach through the book, smack her and tell her to do something.
There was no balance between these two MCs that it just felt messy and mismatched.
