“Go to Hell.”
“You’ll be right there with me.You’re my favorite sin.”

I love a possessive MMC. Roman definitely was that. Her heard “touch her and die” and decided that should be the title of his memoir.

There were aspects of this story I really enjoyed and there were aspects that didn’t quite work for me. The FMC irked me for some reason, but that could just be a me thing. However, the duet narration by JF Harding and Vivienne LaRue was great and would definitely recommend the audio if you are interested in this book.

As with any dark romance - check your triggers and don’t blame the author if you don’t actually like dark romance.

Thank you Must Love Audio, East House Productions, and Avina St. Graves for the advance listener copy.

🖤 Skin of a Sinner is a dark, second-chance romance that hits hard and lingers long after the final page.
Childhood friends turned lovers, Isabella and Roman were raised in a broken foster system—bound by trauma, loyalty, and an all-consuming connection. One devastating night tore them apart… but time couldn’t erase the obsession or the love they shared.
Roman is the kind of book boyfriend that should come with a warning label—red flag walking, dangerously magnetic, and completely unforgettable.
🎧 Duet narration by J.F. Harding and Vivienne LaRue? Absolute chef’s kiss.

Bella’s insecurities, although understandable to a certain extent, are annoying and unjustified most of the time.
slow-paced

This is my first dark romance and I nearly gave up on it, not because the story was bad, but because some lines were just too cringey.  I’m such a sucker for the childhood-friends-to-lovers trope, so I pushed myself to finish this book. And honestly, it was quite entertaining. I finished it in one sitting (out of curiosity).

Did I end up loving it? No.
Did I hate it? Also no.
Did I enjoy? Probably.
