I found this to be a nice little fairy tale. Lots of things to think about and consider. Not as full of debauchery as of his other works.

Had no clue what was happening the whole time and then had my heart ripped out and handed to me in the last chapter

Typical Neil Gaiman book, it has a strange otherworldly feel to it, and while nothing is directly clear, when you look at it from your peripheries, it's clear as day. It's short so it didn't take me long to read it.
I think this is a story of childhood, and not in the way of growing up, but of how children view the world. The things that are real to them simply just are. There's no question or what ifs, things just are. People don't die, they just go sleep a while. People don't age, that just change.
Definitely a very thought provoking book, but with a truly nasty villain and strange beasts.

This book was impossible to put down. Gaiman built a world that I wanted to visit and characters that I loved. A rare gem

A baffling and intriguing book. Wonderfully intriguing and will leave readers hanging on the edge of their seat wondering what happens next. I’d definitely recommend this book to those who like spooky stories or Tim Burton films!
