I want to preface this review by saying that I read the first two books all the way back in 2022. I had to watch a recap YouTube video and even then I still didn’t remember half of what had happened or the characters, so that’s on me.

I really like the main characters in the story, but I found some of the plot a bit repetitive with both Lou and Reid essentially “losing themselves”, although on a different way, and having to find each other again. There was a lot more action in this one though, which is always fun. Did they overcome some of their challenges a bit too easy? Yes. But I also wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to die so I can’t complain really. I love Coco and Beau and would absolutely enjoy reading more about them.

I feel think this book was a major let down. I loved and devoured the first two books. With this one I had to force myself to finish this book. I am not sure why or how but I really had no idea what was going on for most of this book. For me this book picked up after the 75% mark. The only reason I gave it a 3 was because of the ending.

This took forever. I liked the last quarter of the book.

Strange how I loved the first book in this series, the second one was already a lot less but this one was... not it for me. Should've stayed with 2 books imo
