- Things are way more complicated than I though. I hope I'm understanding everything correctly.
- Why do we need to see the cat's anatomy?
- The story is really taking off! Wow! There are some major reveals in this one.
- I'm happy to finally see Thorn stepping it up and doing something.
- This is one of my favorites in the series so far!

I really love where this story is going and how the characters have evolved.

3,5/5, not as strong as the first couple of volumes, still delightfully weird.

Oooh, actually this might be tied for best volume of BONE?? What a climax of what we know so far in Bone. The settings, the twists, the action!

This book reveals more of the plotting between The Hooded One and the Lord of the Locusts, and follows the inhabitants of the valley as they pick up the pieces after the attacks by the Rat Creature army.
I took that from the description, but it basically says all there is to say. The longer I read this, the more sure I become that I would not have continued reading if I had to wait for the installments. The difference in the material between book 1 and this one is worlds. I love where the story is going, but I would not have seen it and if I had been expected to wait months or years between...I wouldn't have.
