This was tough to get through. Oddly boring and repetitive. CNC kink (+some not so consensual, yikes) and an art student that has a psychoanalysis for everything, over and over and over. I almost didn’t finish this book, but somehow managed to get through it eventually.  Do not recommend. I don’t know why so many people recommend this book.

The main characters keep saying they're changing but it's not reflected in the story well. Minimal plot. Repetitive in multiple ways. I understand that this is a huge interconnected series/world but it leaves a lot to be desired.

So, who wants to start a book with a violent sex act in Chapter 1? I continued with it.  And, well, I know degradation and control are not something I am OK with.  

All that set aside: as a person who works at a college and teaches college level classes I have a few beefs with concepts: there is no “second period” in college.  And no one overtly cares if you skip a class.  

Dorm people aren’t going to get after a person for not being inside at a specific time.
