This book is written more towards children, however Roshani Chokshi does a fabulous job of keeping you roped in for chapters at a time and the characters are laugh out loud funny. The plot is intense and doesn't every stay dull. One of my favorite book series and would 100% recommend.

This book is my new all time favourite! Roshani Chokshi outdid herself this time. The plot was amazing as always and was able to pique my attention for hours.

The character development in this booo was the best one I have ever seen! Aru matured as a leader so much and Mini realised that she didn't need someone you didn't respect her. Aiden's devlopment in this was just

Things are definitely heading towards an explosive finale..

I liked this instalment. it was full of adventure; self-reflection; funny banter in the middle of battle; new favourite character. Kara was a breath of fresh air in this cast of characters. I adored her.

The mythology of Ramayana incorporated in this book is what I'm familiar the most, so I really did enjoy the aspects we got.

I cannot wait to read the finale!

Me before reading this book: I haven’t been doing much reading lately and there’s not anything I’m very excited to read.
*gets this book from the library after being on hold”
Me: I shall try reading this one now because I really enjoyed the last one
*reads it*
Me: GIVE ME THE NEXT ONE THIS WAS GOOD AAAAAA CAN I HAVE MORE ENTERTAINING MYTHOLOGY BOOKS WITH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT PLEASE NOW

Now to the review…

WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW

The plot was interesting, there were some plot twists, but mostly there was awesome character development.

I thought Kara being a Pandava was obvious. I didn’t realize that Kara and Aru shared a mom and not a dad however. I thought everything going on with Boo was interesting.

In terms of character development…BRYNNE GOT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT I LOVE HER SO MUCH. Aru got development, Kara was developed as she had just been introduced so she kind of had to be, Aiden got character development IT WAS SO MUCH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. Brynne and Aru are my favorites and I love them to death. I mean come on Brynne even likes cooking shows and action movies that’s awesome.

Then there was humor and fandom references AND I LOVED IT. The book even ended with a Lord of The Rings reference on the last page I mean c’mon that’s awesome.

Overall I loved it and will eventually reread it and will be WAITING for the next book.

Another solid book in a good series. This is probably the weaker book in the set but this the one that's building up to the final battle so I can see why there was so much set up. A lot of set up in the previous books came to fruition now in predictable ways, but come on, this is a middle grade book. If you're not a kid and you're reading these for pure enjoyment, you probably don't (or shouldn't) care about predictability. This is a great series for you and your kids to read (or just you if you're sans child). The Rick Riordan Presents books (along with Rick Riordan himself) are what we should fill that Harry Potter gap with.
