Enjoyed this as a historical curiosity. I see why it's often cited as one of the great underappreciated DC stories of the time. It has all the essential elements of Aquaman stories that have been reused over the last 50 years, it has early Aparo art from when he was still developing his style, and the whole thing builds to a pretty exciting final few chapters. The coloring is also pretty insane, in a great way. But my enjoyment of this story comes mostly from putting myself in the time period. As a story here in 2019, it's decent, though the dialogue isn't the greatest (I skimmed most dialogue in the second half of the book and missed nothing). If you like Aquaman and have read some modern stuff, check this out. Otherwise, there's no rush to read it.
