Wow this book is a real slap in the face!!
All characters so interesting and endearing. They have all their faults and qualities but keep if cute.
This story is clearly a story of life.
I’m actually crying bc this book is a lesson of life, everyone should read the house in the cerulean sea!!
I came away from this book a grown-up. this book is about difference and how it's not accepted.

I've seen some booktok describing this book as a warm cinnamon bun and yes, this book sure is. There's just something magical, warm and comforting about this book. I was deeply engrossed in the first few chapters, even before we met the lovely children. Linus Baker is such a different protagonist, he's gentle, uptight and a softie inside. It is awesome to see how he opens up towards the kiddies and embracing changes.
SpoilerAnd oh lord, I never know I have a thing for middle age queer love stories but WHY IS IT SO STINKING CUTE!!!
Overall, I really had a great time reading this book and love it very much.

Sweet, fun, cute, definitely a cozy read. I wish I could give it 3.5 stars because 3 feels too harsh, but 4 feels like too many.

Four stars for enjoyment, but it does feel a little childish, preachy, and on the nose at points. I think the depth and meaning that was supposed to be here was so in your face that it fell flat. Nothing more than a fun and easy read, which is fine!

This book was easy to read and had some endearing characters. I did really appreciate the inclusion and thought behind several character. However lots of aspects felt a bit underdeveloped to me and a bit cheesy. I think this is more a matter of what you are looking for. While a fun read and made me smile, it was not something that will stay with me.
